SENS Fitness Clients of the Month - Jon Peitz and Kari Riffenburg

Counting down the days, and the pounds, to the “Big Day,” Jon and Kari came to SENS Fitness looking for a sustainable nutrition plan, not some lose-weight-quick-than-gain-it-all-back program. What they’ve found is that accountability and routine are the cornerstones of a quality program that leaves them in control of the journey while educating them along the way.


Congratulations to Jon and Kari, the SENS Fitness Clients of the Month for February!

1. Why did you decide to join SENS Fitness?

Kari: I wanted to learn how to eat a healthy diet! I never knew what my normal day of calories and protein intake should be. In the past when I tried to lose weight, I would restrict calories or cut out as many carbs as I could which wasn’t sustainable.

Jon: My mom had good results and was able to eat! 

2. What goal are you working towards?

K: I want to lose weight, gain muscle and then learn to maintain weight.

J: Besides getting in better shape, I am also working towards a healthy way of eating that is sustainable.

3. What's the most challenging thing you've faced during this journey?

K: The most challenging thing has been estimating measurements if I am not eating at home.

J: Measuring everything I eat!

4. What have you done to stay focused on your goal?

K: Posting pictures and tracking everything I eat through MyFitnessPal have really helped me stay focused.

J: Continue to post my meals. It helps me stay in a routine.

5. Apart from the usual things like pounds and inches lost, have you noticed any other benefits from the SENS Fitness Fat Loss Program?

K: I have noticed much less bloating, better sleep, and a higher level of energy throughout the day- no mid afternoon crash!

J: I have noticed a decrease in bloating, better sleep and overall more energy.

6. How is SENS Fitness different than any other weight loss program or diet you've tried in the past?

K: The accountability is more than any other weight loss program that I’ve tried. I try to post my meals as I eat them and Karen and Jim usually like & comment on every post within a few minutes! I also don’t feel deprived on this program like I have in the past.

J: I have never tracked my macros to this extent. Also the daily Facebook posts force a level of routine I have never experienced.
